This compact, architectural home is nestled between two existing buildings (boundary to boundary) situated on a hammerhead site, creating a challenge in design, privacy, sound, light and construction throughout the process.
We worked closely with our clients to use these challenges as inspiration and turned a traditional in-fill build into a modern architectural home, inside and out.
The result is a stunning home which oozes WOW factor in the meticulous construction detailing, innovation and design flair. Extensive glass, highlight windows, and impressive internal brickwork complements the perfect integration of the indoors and out, with the edgy and unique open architectural terrace area the icing on the cake.
The home was awarded the winner for the category: National Contract Home $750k – $1M, at the Master Builders Australia National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards.
Being an extremely restricted hammerhead site in the heart of North Adelaide brought added complexity to this build. Scott Salisbury Homes responded by insuring a thorough consultative process from design to completion which delivered an exceptional house with a contemporary passive design. The builder utilised a selection of innovative materials to create a flexible and unique internal to the external layout. The end result was a very satisfied client and builder outcome.
